Don’t Miss Long’s Jewelers Wedding Band Weekend!

swbe-web-image-updated_large

Boston brides! It’s time for you and your fiance to get your wedding bands!

Beginning this Thursday, July 31st through Saturday, August 2nd, Long’s Jewelers Burlington will play host to their annual summer wedding ring extravaganza!  Designers such as Ritani, DIANA, Memoire, Scott Kay, Furrer-Jacot, Armadani and many others will have their best of the best rings on hand including platinum, gold, diamond, and custom bands.  Reps from the designers and manufacturers will also be present to answer your ring questions and to help design your perfect wedding band!  How great is that?!?!

The event itself is always fun (I mean, what bride wouldn’t want to stroll around a gorgeous jewelry store surrounded by the most beautiful pieces around?). If that weren’t enough, Long’s is throwing in a little something extra. They are giving away some really great prizes this year and I have a feeling any engaged couple would want their chance at them!   How about $1,500 toward your honeymoon?  Perhaps your groom would like to sport a brand new Bell & Ross watch valued at over $3,900? (Not a tough sell if you need some convincing to get your groom into a jewelry store, right?)  Maybe  a $1,000 shopping spree at Jordan’s Furniture would be great to help furnish your new home together?  Personally, I love the idea of a 5-course food and wine pairing dinner at The Capital Grille (who would you choose to bring along?)  Let’s not forget tuxedo rentals for up to 10 (perfect for your wedding!) a gift certificate for none other than fab wedding cake designer Konditor Meister!  If that weren’t enough, one super lucky couple will win $1,000 toward wedding bands at Long’s!  Love it!!!

The Burlington location is located at 60A South Ave., Burlington, MA, at exit 32B off Route 128 on the Middlesex Turnpike across from the Burlington Mall.

Special Event Hours:
Thursday 10am – 8pm
Friday 10am – 8pm
Saturday 10am – 6pm

Happy shopping!

New England Wedding Planning with Love Affair Planning Suite

IMG_4680

With so many brides-to-be, planning a wedding usually goes from the most exciting time in their life to the most stressful.  And it’s no wonder. Picking a date, selecting a venue, finalizing vendors,  finding the perfect gown and – oh yeah, the biggest element of all – figuring out the budget!  Let’s face it – it’s a lot to sort through.

Most brides I have talked to over the years agree on one thing – selecting wedding vendors may be the most difficult part of wedding planning.  There are thousands of wedding vendors in New England – photographers, videographers, bands/DJ’s, ceremony musicians, florists, hair and make-up artists, bridal stores, caterers, transportation, wedding cake bakers, you name it!  On one hand, it’s great because just about everyone has a website these days and a social media presence.  But how much weight does that really carry?  After a while, their service offerings may look all the same and you begin to feel overwhelmed and unsure of which wedding vendors you should select.  And oftentimes, the worst mistake engaged couples make is simply choosing the least expensive wedding vendor option.

Love Affair

Luckily, wedding planning in New England just got a heck of a lot more fun and dependable.  If you haven’t heard about it already, I am thrilled to be the one to introduce you to Love Affair (gosh, don’t you just LOVE the name?).  Love Affair is a one-stop-shop for all things wedding related in Portsmouth, NH.    It was created by local wedding professionals Elizabeth Dirom (owner of fab bridal shop Madeleine’s Daughter) and Leslie Barbini (owner of The Wedding Belle -wedding and event planning).  With many years working in the New England wedding industry, Elizabeth and Leslie have come to know the best of the best wedding vendors around.   Looking for vendors who are reputable, dependable, creative and simply the best around?  Are you looking for vendors who have successfully worked well together throughout the years?  Well, these two pros can recommend them to you.  And that’s what they do.  Elizabeth and Leslie have pulled together resources for New England brides to simply the wedding planning process.  Basically, these ladies have done all the work for you.  What’s not to love?

Owners Barbini and Dirom

Elizabeth and Leslie have pulled together all the resources you need in planning your wedding.  At the Love Affair suite, you will find binders and iPads with a plethora of wedding information, all organized by category.  The trusted vendors will all be listed there.  (See?  Like I said, Elizabeth and Leslie have done all the work for you!).  You can take your time and browse through all the categories.  See a vendor you like?  You simply save it and can go back to it afterwards.  Once you have gone through the categories, clients attend “Vendor Nights Out” where you can meet all the different vendors, talk to them about their services, availability, local wedding trends, you name it.  This isn’t your traditional conference-center bridal show of the past.  Envision a casual evening mingling, networking, and learning.  It’s here that you learn as much as you can about the vendors you are interested in.  When you are ready to select your vendors, you simply return to the suite and finalize contracts.  Yes, it’s THAT simple.  Think of it as Elizabeth and Leslie introducing you to new friends they have loved and trusted for years!
