Wedding Gown Wednesday!

One of the reasons I love Anne Barge designs is that I feel she designs for 30-something plus bride.  So many times, you see bridal gowns that are over the top princess-y and really most appropriate for 20-something brides.  The thing is, so many women are getting married in their thirties and forties, and we still want to look and feel “bridal”.  Anne Barge gowns are simply elegant, classy, classic, and timeless.  No one will look at an Anne Barge gown in 20 years and wonder “why did I wear THAT?”  You’ll look at your gown and think “what a great decision – that gown is still beautiful”.

When I saw the Laine gown from their Spring 2012 collection, I immediately thought it would be a great gown for a mature bride.  Someone who doesn’t need all the extra details.  A gown that a bride would be able to accessorize on her own, with a hair piece, jewelry and shoes that could be just as classic or have some detail that would create a nice balance.

The Laine is a fit and flare gown of Italian Razo silk satin organza and architectural lines accented by bow at bustline. I love the look of the full length veil as shown in the photo.  But I think you could easily wear tiara, rhinestone pins, or headband.  The gown retails for $3,510.
