Wedding Vendor Spotlight –

Girls, let’s face it.  We are living in a world filled with wedding help for brides – wedding blogs, wedding planning websites,  online community forums, bridal magazines, and unfortunately, one too many crazy family members who think they are the best person to plan a wedding for us.  At the end of the day, most wedding planning resources are geared toward brides.  Why is that?  In a way, it’s the “bride’s day”.  (How many grooms do you know who have been planning their wedding since the age of 5?)  But I’m seeing more and more grooms become involved with planning their wedding.  They might be paying for a portion of their wedding and want to (rightfully so) have a say in where their money goes.  Or maybe they are engaged to a bride who wants them to play a more active role (invitations and centerpieces may not be up a groom’s alley, but it’s hard to say no to cake tastings and band / DJ selections).

Whatever the reason, grooms ARE becoming involved and I think it’s awesome.  And fortunately, there’s a place online for grooms to figure out all the ins and outs of weddings.  My favorite resource for grooms is, a website geared completely toward grooms and offers advice covering all aspects of the wedding process.  And I mean everything – from planning the engagement to the honeymoon.  They also have a pretty cool registry element – a place for grooms to register for what they want (I hate to break it to you, but most grooms could care less about the formal china, crystal stemware, and god forbid, the lemon zester you have secretly already picked out).

So, if your groom hasn’t heard about, you should absolutely tell him about it.  And I’m pretty sure once you’re engaged, the topic of your wedding comes up virtually every day.

One of my favorite parts of is their gift section.  Honestly, it’s a great place to shop for men in general (not just for weddings).  But, we all know some (ok, most) men need a little help shopping.  So when it comes time to pick out some groomsmen gifts (or gifts for your groom and any dads involved), send your guy to  You can’t go wrong.  One too many times, I have been on the receiving end of ridiculous bridesmaid gifts.  The kind of gift where you open it and have to fake-smile and say “Thank you! I love it!” when you really just can’t wait to bring it home and store it away and hope it gets misplaced.  If you refuse to be ‘that couple’ – the ones who gave crappy gifts to their groomsmen – tell your guy to hit  There is something for everyone.  And remember, you don’t have to give the same gift to each groomsman.  Tailor their gift to their personality and interests.  And if you really want to be a great gift-giver, go the personalization route.

I recently visited and found a few really cool gift ideas.  Check them out here:

Personalized Mini Bourbon Whiskey Barrel, $69.95

Yes, you read that right.  I’m sorry, I know I’m a girl, but this is pretty darn cool.  This is an awesome gift for not only groomsmen, but it could also be a special gift for the best man, the fathers of the brides and groom, or, it can be a gift from you to the groom himself.

2 Liter Black

Chalkboard Beer Mug, $19.95

Just the other day, I was telling you about the chalkboard rage this year!   This beer mug will definately be throwback to 2013 and again, it’s one of those practical beer mugs that any guy would love.  And it’s totally budget-friendly too.   It actually comes with chalk!  Note from vendor:  Hand wash only!

“Cold Beer Here” Pilsner Glasses (Set of 4), $49.95

Love ’em.  Simple and practical (so you know they’ll be used) 20 oz.  glasses that say it all.  Hand blown and dishwasher safe.  Each time the groomsmen grab one of these, it’ll bring them right back to your wedding.

Custom Man Cave Sign, $36

A great price for such a cool gift.  ANY guy would love this sign!  It doesn’t matter whether the recipient has a man cave or not.  Ya’ know why?  Cuz a guy can dream.  And every man I know plans to have a man cave “some day”.  This sign is just what he needs to officially say he’s going to build it and it’s all thanks to your groom.  Nice, huh?

Personalized Secret Angent Hidden Message Cufflinks, $44.95

Sleek cufflinks made of silver-coated brass. Perhaps something for the guys to wear on your wedding day?  The secret compartment just kills me!  I love it and any guy is going to get a kick out of it.

So, there ya have it.  Not only are these groomsmen gifts pretty awesome, is too.  If your guy hasn’t heard of it yet, send him over, have him take a look around, tell him he can register for some stuff there (he’ll love you even more for that), and tell him to check out these cool groomsmen gifts.
