Wedding Gown Wednesday!

It’s not too often you find a wedding gown that’s not only gorgeous and elegant, but is also suitable for virtually any wedding setting.  That’s why I love halter gowns.  So, when I saw this stunning halter gown from Nouvelle Amsale (courtesy of Nordstrom’s Wedding Suite), I had to tell you about it.

Let’s face it.  Everyone loves a halter dress.  And so many brides wish there were more of them out there!  Brides love them, bridesmaids love them, and don’t be surprised if you have a few wedding guests who wear them too.  Why?  Well, in our world of strapless dresses, halters let you stand out.  A lot of brides may feel uncomfortable in a strapless gown too.  Some may wonder if strapless gowns can hold them in.  And with a halter, the girls are more likely to stay in place (there!  I said it! ).

This classic wedding gown is perfect for any Boston area ballroom, country club, banquet hall, outdoor, or backyard. Personally, I think it would be stunning for a New England oceanfront wedding (think Maine or Cape Cod, Nantucket or the Vineyard).  And if you lucky enough to be having a seaside destination wedding, you’re going LOVE this!

This gown is taffeta (and if you remember what I said last week about taffeta, it’s totally figure friendly). I LOVE the pleated waist! In fact, if you need a little help creating a waist (Lord knows I do!) this gown can do it.  And the simple A-line silhouette is the perfect shape for any bride.

Since the gown is classic, you can pair it with any headpiece, accessory, or shoes you like.

The gown retails for $2,200.
