Wedding Gown Wednesday!

Brides, as you know, I have been featuring wedding gowns from Nordstrom’s Wedding Suite for the past few weeks now.  And to be honest, it was difficult narrowing down the ones I wanted to write about.  I just really love all the gowns in their collection.  They are all so elegant and classic and I think that represents my local Boston bridal readers, don’t you?  The other thing I love about Nordstrom’s Wedding Suite collection is that you can get a truly fabulous designer bridal gown that’s pretty affordable.  So, what’s not to love?

This week, I want to show 2 wonderful gowns, since I didn’t get the chance to blog last week’s Wedding Gown Wednesday.  I don’t think you’ll be disappointed!

Charlize Bridal Organza 1140B-reduce

First, take a look at this simple yet so elegant Charlize gown by Jenny Yoo.  I’ve always been a huge fan of Jenny Yoo bridal gowns and this dress should tell you why.  It’s simply classic.  It can be worn for any type of wedding setting – a Boston ballroom wedding, an ocean-front Cape Cod wedding, or a chic city venue with a view of the Boston skyline.  The gown is made of organza, making it perfect for any season (you can totally even wear this for a winter wedding and pair it with a cashmere wrap as you travel to and from your wedding).  The floor length skirt makes it completely wearable – you’ll never have to worry about a train that’s too long and could possibly get in the way of your perfectly choreographed first dance (yes, I am speaking from experience!).  The gown is also a beautiful A-line, making it appropriate for any body shape.  And best of all, it retails for just $1,695.

Doris

The other beautiful gown I wanted to tell you about is the super-stunning Doris gown by Caroline DeVillo.  This gown is great for so many settings, but I really started to think this would be great for a vintage or rustic Boston wedding.  As soon as I saw the name “Doris”, the gown just reminded me of a 1950’s or 60’s bride, or a bride of today who just loves that classic style.  The ballgown skirt is a show-stopper and the lace bodice is truly representative of any bride who loves a vintage feel.  This is absolutely a mom and grandma-approved dress, not to mention your fiance as well! The gown retails for $3,105 and the gorgeous matching sash (you HAVE to get that too!) is just $320.

What I love about both of these gowns is that you can pair them with just about any shoes, jewelry and handbag to create a look unique to you.
